  Should really be Brewer & Chef as the food seems to be a bit of an afterthought.
  Hand-battered cod was over-cooked and tasteless, Wagyu beef burger was average and oven chips were lame, fish pie was so--so, can't remember what the other people in our group ordered but it was all of a similar conclusion.
  Service was just shouting loud and verging on rude, "DO YOU WANT A DRINK?" was shouted twice at a group member while he was in conversation with another, there are more professional ways to get peoples attention...
  
  So overall, don't bother with the over-priced food, drinks can't go wrong as they are what they are.
  
  In contrast the food at The Bulls Head in Handforth (another Chef & Brewer) was top-notch so I'd recommend going there instead until The Aslea sorts its act out (again).

  Although its a chain pub/restaurant the food is very good. Never been disappointed on numerous visits. Staff are friendly, the restaurant part is light and airy, and a good beer selection too.

  Nice pub just off the road to Cheadle. Good food and comprehensive menu .
